My Story

As a child I thought I wanted to be a doctor – it was one of the few vocations I came into contact with.  The alternative of being a fireman didn’t really appeal, and James Bond had too many close calls.  Work experience as a 15 year-old at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney’s Kings Cross sealed that fate.

University was very social.  Whilst the finance lecturers had the fast cars, law had the stories.  Seven years later as an M&A lawyer, doing deals on behalf of clients, I leapt at the opportunity to become the client.

Peter Viner, then CEO of Network Ten, invited me to join his leadership team to turn around the ailing third ranked television network.  We built it into the most profitable network at the time.  Pete was an inspiring mentor.  He had this knack of flipping the question back to people who came to him for advice, instilling in them the confidence to find their own answers.

I developed not only a passion for business, making the client (and end customer) central to every decision, but doing what I admired most in Pete, bringing out the best in people.

Two decades later, having had amazing experiences in leading teams building, growing and transforming businesses across the Pacific, Asia and Australia, I founded Blue Sky Strategy.

I am doing what I am most passionate about – working with people, bringing out the best in them, and helping translate bold ambitions and growth into tangible outcomes and results.

The MG from Uni days has gone, but not the mindset of making things possible.”
